Once over the first meeting –which
we don´t charge if it is in our
studio- we provide the client with graphic
material with our history
If the meeting were to take place outside
our studio, there will be a small fee.
If the client needed more meetings before
hiring us, there will be a small hourly
fee. Once the client decides to hire
us, we will sign a work assignment
that will include a money deposit
as an advance to the final fee. The
client will receive a contract for
revision and a questionnaire so that
we can continue interiorizing in the
project.
Why
a Fee?
Because for any question that the
client has we must start working.
Because a common question to all clients
is how much he/she is going to invest.
To answer this the studio will have
to work on an estimate for which we
will consume time and personnel.
To finish the first stage, the studio
will put in order the answers to the
questionary and clear any remaining
doubts.
Once analyzed the questionary, it
will help understand the assignment
and its dimensions.
After agreeing on the fee, the next
step will be signing the contract,
which will include the work conditions
and form of pay. When signing the
contract the studio will receive an
advance fee that will later on be
deducted from the total.
The next step will be for the studio
and client to work together on the
elements of the Design Program that
is one of the main stages for the
whole project. Following, we will
prepare the program, which should
include, as precisely as possible,
the needs of the client and all limitations
concerning time and costs.
The first sketches usually arouse
the imagination of the client, clear
his ideas, call his attention on aspects
that he/she hadn´t considered,
and suggest new possibilities and
requirenments.
Once the elements of the design program
are stablished and deeply analyzed,
the preliminary project with the solution
is presented. This is a fundamental
stage and in project of considerable
dimmensions may require several weeks
of work. In this stage, previous to
documentation, is where research,
tests and necessary prototypes and
material studies, take place.
